Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

What an astonishingly good God we have! As we saw this last Sunday, in our study of Ephesians 1:5-6, He made provisions to adopt us even before He made us, so that we would be His own children throughout eternity. And He did this out of His deep love for us, and it gave Him unspeakable pleasure to do so. In the midst of today’s challenges with COVID-19, racial tensions, political rancor and economic uncertainty, it is reassuring to know the Lord’s destiny for us—to reign over a restored earth with Him forever—stands unchallenged. He will accomplish what He has planned. If you missed the service, you can watch the recording here. The message and notes are found here.

This Sunday, we will have the joy of considering some remarkable truths: our redemption and forgiveness in Christ and the Father’s lavish blessings of grace and revelation. Please check our website before the service to download an outline of the text. For those of you who like taking notes, this will make it easier for you to do so. To join our 4pm service, click here or on our website. As always, check into the Zoom chat room a little early to say your “Hellos” and get settled. Remember to bring your bible, bread and wine/grape juice for Holy Communion.

Tonight our midweek community group meets as usual online from 7 to 8pm, and we’d love to have you join us as we fellowship, pray and study chapter two of the Gospel of John. Here is the link to the meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83431781341.

For those who want to memorize Ephesians 1:3-14, you can find a copy of the passage here. Another version (NIV), in a smaller format, comes to us with the help of Danielle Penne and can be found here.

For those of you mailing in checks to the church, please send them to: Holy Trinity Church, 1394 Huggins Ave., Chico, CA 95926. Thanks so much. You can still give online by using our website: holytrinitychico.org.

Please continue to pray for our bothers and sisters in our church family struggling with grief or medical challenges.

In His great love –

Tom
