Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –
I hope this letter finds you well as we begin the Season of Trinity, which commenced with Trinity Sunday two days ago and will end on November 29, the first Sunday of Advent. It’s a great time for us to press in to know the Father, Son and Spirit in a more intimate and Biblically informed way.
To help you do that, we went through a list of actions last Sunday that each of the Trinitarian members has taken on our behalf as part of our salvation. You can access the list, with all its scripture references, through the link to the message notes on our website. The message notes and slides can be found here. A recording of last Sunday’s service is available online here. By looking up the verses on the list, and giving thanks to God for these different works of salvation, you will find yourself more appreciative of His grace and the role played by the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in bringing us back into face-to-face fellowship.
Tonight our midweek community group meets from 7 to 8pm, and we would love for you to join us on Zoom. Here is the link. This is the same link we will use in future weeks so save it somewhere handy.
This coming Sunday, we will meet as usual at 4pm online on Zoom. To join the meeting, click here or on our website. As always, check into the Zoom chat room a little early to get settled. Remember to bring your bible, bread and wine/grape juice for Holy Communion.
Please pray for us as we consider moving towards “in-person” meetings this month. We want to be safe, wise, obedient to our government yet create worship experiences and fellowship opportunities that are a blessing to all who come. So, we need your prayers and your input! As I mentioned Sunday, Bobby and Lauren Avilla have graciously offered for us to meet in their large, beautiful backyard on Sunday mornings. Because of the shade factor, earlier would be better: 8 or 8:30 is optimum but might make it difficult for some to make. For others, a late morning service won’t work. If you haven’t already, please let me know about your availability on Sunday mornings so we can make the best decision. You can email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your continued prayers for the Ruby family as we grieve Diane’s home going on May 24th. They are so appreciative of our prayers, emails, texts and other signs of love.
In the strong embrace of our triune God –
