Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

Trinity blessings this third week after Trinity Sunday! I hope you are enjoying your status as “anointed ones” as we discussed last Sunday from 1 John 2:20,27: imperfect christs walking in the footsteps of the perfect Christ, our Savior. Having had His Spirit poured out on us sets us apart for Him, enabling us to show God’s character in our lives (see Gal 5:22-23) and His power, authority and gifting in His service (cf. 1 Cor 12:4-11).

Last Sunday, we began a leisurely, reverent exploration of the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus, talking over the background of the text and dipping into the first verse of chapter one. This week, we will complete the first verse and, the Lord willing, make it though the second verse. They are extraordinarily rich in content and encouraging to our faith. To view the message and notes, you can click here. The recording of the service is available online here.

Tonight our midweek community group again meets from 7 to 8pm. Join us! We are in chapter one of the Gospel of John. Here is the link:  This is the same link we will use in future weeks so save it somewhere handy.

This coming Sunday, we will meet as usual at 4pm online on Zoom. To join the meeting, click here or on our website. As always, check into the Zoom chat room a little early to get settled. Remember to bring your bible, bread and wine/grape juice for Holy Communion.

Our first “Take-out, Dine-in” last Wednesday was very special. I hope you sign up for our next one, scheduled for next Wednesday, July 1. You can signup on our website at this link. There are only 10 spaces left, so be sure to sign up soon!

Thank you for being such a delightful family of brothers and sisters! I love the spirit of our church: so gracious and kind, so hungry to love God and His people. I want you to know that I really do consider it the highest honor to be your pastor.

With love in Christ –
