Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

Blessings to you this twenty-first week of the Trinity Season. How appropriate that we’ve been learning in the letter to the Ephesians just how much the Father, Son and Spirit love us and made a way for us to be reconciled and refashioned in the divine image! The Gospel never grows old, does it? I find that I need to preach to myself everyday, and I’m always grateful for it.

Last Sunday, it was so good to be together for fellowship following the service. Thank you again to Bobby and Lauren Avilla for providing the donuts and coffee and to Lynn Mount for transporting them! I hope the text of Eph 2:8-10 is still fresh in your minds: we are God’s “workmanship”, recreated in righteousness and holiness to image him to the world. If you missed the service on Sunday, you can watch the recording here and access the outline, notes and slides here.

This Sunday, we will begin the next section of Eph 2, learning how Christ broke down every ethnic barrier and made us “one” in himself. We meet at 9am at 1595 Arbutus Ave. There are a few parking spaces in the lot on the west side of the building (off 5th) as well as street parking on both Arbutus and 5th Ave. Our COVID safety precautions are given at the bottom of this email.

Just a reminder: this Sunday, the church that owns the building—Chico Bible Fellowship—will be meeting at 10:30, so after our service concludes, we will need to quickly clear out our things so the other congregation can be ready to start church on time.

For those of you unable to make our in-person service, we will be recording it for you so you can watch the recording later in the day. Email me and let me know if you want access to it on Sunday. Greg will send me the link after the service, and I will be happy to forward it to any of you who would like to view it. It will also be posted on our website next Tuesday.

Our Community Group meets tonight, Tuesday, November 3rd, from 7-8pm. We’d love to have you join us for prayer, fellowship and bible study! The link for the Zoom meeting is:

Thank you for your many prayers for the various members of our church! God is answering them in some wonderful ways. Let’s all remember to pray today for our city, state and nation as we hold this important election.

Yours in Christ’s great love –
