Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

Blessings to you this seventeenth week of the Trinity Season!

Last Sunday we began our look at chapter two of Paul’s letter to the Ephesians by considering three themes running throughout it and the other parts of the letter. Each of these emphasizes the miraculous nature of our salvation which God brought about because of his love for us. To listen to the service, you can watch the recording here. The message slides, outline and notes are found here.

This Sunday we will begin our detailed look at the first part of the chapter. It’s a stunning presentation of what the Father has done for us in Christ through his Spirit. To join the 4pm service this Sunday, click here or on our website. As always, check into the Zoom chat room a little early to say your “Hellos” and get settled. Remember to bring your bible, the sermon outline, bread and wine/grape juice for Holy Communion.

We have two “take out, dine in” events planned for the month of October: Oct 15th and 29th. We hope you’ll join us for one of these! You can sign up for one of these online now. The idea is simple: pick up whatever food you like and come to the Hignell office complex on Humbolt Rd. to share your meal with others and enjoy fellowship in a socially distanced way.

Our next Community Group will meet Monday, October 12th, from 7-8pm. We are about to begin chapter six of the Gospel of John. Here is the link to join in on Zoom for the evening.

Thank you for continuing to pray for those in the church that the Lord puts on your heart. A number are dealing with significant health issues and other challenges, and your prayers make a huge difference.

In Christ’s love –

Tom
