Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

I hope this finds you well and flourishing in Jesus this fifteen week of the Trinity season!

Last Sunday I gave you some of my reflections on the upcoming election, which, I hope was helpful in sorting through some of the many factors that make this particular election especially pivotal. These were, of course, my personal reflections, not those of the church as a whole. If you didn’t catch the service or want to listen to it again, you can watch the recording here. The message slides and outline and are found here.

This Sunday I will share my reflections on some troubling cultural trends that we should be aware of. To join the 4pm service this Sunday, click here or on our website. As always, check into the Zoom chat room a little early to say your “Hellos” and get settled. Remember to bring your bible, the sermon outline, bread and wine/grape juice for Holy Communion.

Tonight we meet from 7-8 for our community group. If you’re not otherwise busy, please join us! We are going though the Gospel of John. Here is the link to join in on Zoom.

Please continue to pray for those in the church that the Lord puts on your heart. A number of us are dealing with significant health issues, with the grief of losing a loved one and/or with loneliness and discouragement during this time of restricted social interaction and heavy smoke.

In the love of the Father and the Son in the Spirit –
