Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

Blessings to you this twelfth week following Trinity Sunday!  After last Sunday, I hope you have a greater appreciation of the big story that runs throughout the bible and of your place in it as God’s treasured inheritance in Christ. It’s an astonishing fact that God loves us with such intensity and feeling. His goal of reuniting his earthly and heavenly families in a restored heaven and earth will not be thwarted. He will accomplish this final “bringing together” of humans and elohim to live forever in unity, love and cooperative vocation. If you didn’t catch the service, you can watch the recording here. The message, outline and notes are found here.

This Sunday, we will look at the end of the great prayer Paul prays for the Ephesian believers, where he asks God to help them understand the unlimited power he has put at our disposal in to live life in this world. You can download the notes from our website before the service: I plan to post them by Saturday night. To join the 4pm service this Sunday, click here or on our website. As always, check into the Zoom chat room a little early to say your “Hellos” and get settled. Remember to bring your bible, the sermon outline, bread and wine/grape juice for Holy Communion.

Please continue to pray for those in the church that the Lord puts on your heart. A number of us are dealing with significant health issues, with the grief of losing a loved one and/or with loneliness and discouragement during this time of restricted social interaction and heavy smoke. Our Lord is gracious and good, and He delights to answer our prayers.

In Christ’s vast love –

Tom
