Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

Blessings to you this third week of the Epiphany season!

Last Sunday, we continued our series in Paul’s second letter to the Thessalonians, looking at 2 Thessalonians 1:6-12, in which Paul offers encouragement for those experiencing persecution and describes some of the intriguing things that will accompany Christ’s return to earth. If you missed the service, you can access the notes and PowerPoint here and view the recording here.

This week, Craig will open up for us the message of Isaiah 6. For those unable to attend in person, be sure to tune in to our livestream at 9am Sunday morning at the following YouTube link:  We will also record the service, so you can watch the recording after it is posted next week.

Men, if you are interested in getting together with other men to develop friendships and deepen your relationship with Christ, mark your calendars for 6:30pm February 16! More details will follow, but our goal is to meet for dinner and discuss ideas for ministering to men at Holy Trinity.

Has God been prompting you to pray more for our nation, state, city and His church? If so, come join us each Friday at the church building from 12-1pm. We are asking the Lord to expose evil, frustrate the plans of bad actors, raise up his church is strong, vocal faith and restore righteousness, integrity and love in our land.

If you are looking for a bible study where you can connect relationally and grow spiritually, we’d love to have you join us on Tuesday nights from 7-8pm. We meet at the church building for prayer, fellowship and prayerful study of John’s Gospel. We also have Zoom setup for those unable to meet in person. Please use the following link:

Three families in our church experienced great loss last week. Please be in prayer for them. Nate and Katie Curry lost Nate’s mom, Shar, after a long bout with cancer. Jason, Carrie and Lily Kruger lost Carrie’s grandfather, Floyd, and Kaylinn Hignell lost her forty-five year old niece, Melissa, to a heart attack. Our love and prayers go out to all of you.

Thanks so much for your continued prayers for those in our body who face health issues, losses, financial difficulties and other challenges. One of the great privileges we have is to hold each other up in prayer. Please be in prayer particularly for Nate and Katie Curry (death of Nate’s mom), David Calkins (healing of foot), James Johnson (cancer), Keri Oliva (cancer), Kaylinn Hignell (cancer and loss of neice), Lorraine Freeman (medical issues), Nola Taylor (hospice care), Jason, Carrie and Lily Kruger (loss of Carrie’s grandfather) and Barbara Trimmer (medical issues). Thank you!

In Epiphany joy –
