Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

It is now the seventh week of Epiphany, and I hope the Lord is revealing more and more of his beauty and grace to you each day as you seek him in prayer and the Word!

Last Sunday, we again looked at Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians, focusing on 2:13-3:5, where Paul prays for the believers in that Greek town to stand fast, hold firm and allow God’s love for them to be the dominating impulse of their lives.  If you missed the service, you can access the notes and PowerPoint here and view the recording here.

This week, Craig will teach us from the Old Testament book of Isaiah. As he teaches a class at YWAM Chico this week on Isaiah, he has been making some rich discoveries of spiritual truth, and he will be sharing some of those with us this Sunday. For those unable to attend in person, be sure to tune in to our livestream at 9am Sunday morning at the following YouTube link  https://youtu.be/u_XYj7VcBDQ We will also record the service, so you can watch the recording after it is posted next week.

Beginning next Tuesday night, we will begin a study of the book of Romans. If you are looking for a bible study where you can connect relationally and grow spiritually, we’d love to have you join us! We meet 7-8pm at the church building for prayer, fellowship and bible study. We also have Zoom setup for those unable to meet in person. Please use the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82177078238

Men, if you’re able to join us tonight at the church building 6:00pm, we will have dinner together and discuss what it might look like for the men at Holy Trinity to encourage each other in their family lives and walk with the Lord. Future activities will be announced in these newsletters and at our worship services, so stay tuned!

Women, Danielle Penne will be starting another seven-week study on the prophet Elijah in early March using the video series by Pricilla Shirer. We’ll update you on all the details, but plan to join in and grow stronger in your faith.

Has God been prompting you to pray more for our nation, state, city and His church? If so, come join us each Friday at the church building from 12-1pm. We are asking the Lord to expose evil, frustrate the plans of bad actors, raise up his church is strong, vocal faith and restore righteousness, integrity and love in our land.

Thanks so much for your continued prayers for those in our body who face health issues, losses, financial difficulties and other challenges. One of the great privileges we have is to hold each other up in prayer. Please be in prayer particularly for Nate and Katie Curry (death of Nate’s mom), David Calkins (healing of foot), James Johnson (cancer), Keri Oliva (cancer), Kaylinn Hignell (cancer), Larry Ruby (loss), Mark Spelts (healing), Nola Taylor (hospice care), Jason, Carrie and Lily Kruger (loss of Carrie’s grandfather) and Barbara Trimmer (medical issues). Thank you!

Under the mercy –

Tom
