Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

Blessings to you during this sixth week of the Epiphany season. And may the beauty of this early spring remind you of the hope made sure to us in Jesus!

Last Sunday, during our worship service, we continued our series on the second letter of Paul to the Thessalonians, focusing on 2:1-12. Here Paul and his companions provide details about the coming of the “man of lawlessness” and a widespread apostasy that will occur in the last days within the Church. The lesson is clear: we need to be ready to stand for the truth no matter the cost. If you missed the service, you can access the notes and PowerPoint here and view the recording here.

This week, we will look at the next section of the letter: 2:13-3:5, where Paul deals with several themes sure to resonate with every believer. For those unable to attend in person, be sure to tune in to our livestream at 9am Sunday morning at the following YouTube link:  We will also record the service, so you can watch the recording after it is posted next week.

Men, if you are interested in getting together with other men to develop friendships and deepen your relationship with Christ, mark your calendars for 6:00pm next Wednesday, February 16! We will meet at the church building and enjoy dinner together, then discuss and pray about ideas for ministering to men at Holy Trinity. Sign up this Sunday at the service.

Has God been prompting you to pray more for our nation, state, city and His church? If so, come join us each Friday at the church building from 12-1pm. We are asking the Lord to expose evil, frustrate the plans of bad actors, raise up his church is strong, vocal faith and restore righteousness, integrity and love in our land.

If you are looking for a bible study where you can connect relationally and grow spiritually, we’d love to have you join us on Tuesday nights from 7-8pm. We meet at the church building for prayer, fellowship and bible study. We also have Zoom setup for those unable to meet in person. Please use the following link:

Thanks so much for your continued prayers for those in our body who face health issues, losses, financial difficulties and other challenges. One of the great privileges we have is to hold each other up in prayer. Please be in prayer particularly for Nate and Katie Curry (death of Nate’s mom), David Calkins (healing of foot), James Johnson (cancer), Keri Oliva (cancer), Kaylinn Hignell (cancer and loss of neice), Larry Ruby (loss), Mark Spelts (healing), Nola Taylor (hospice care), Jason, Carrie and Lily Kruger (loss of Carrie’s grandfather) and Barbara Trimmer (medical issues). Thank you!

In Epiphany joy –
