Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

My prayer for each of you is that you are continuing to “make space” in your schedule and your heart for the Lord as we come near the end of this Lenten season. Creating time—leisure—to simply “be” with him, enjoying his presence, reflecting on his Word, talking with him in prayer, is how we “stay in step” with his Spirit and live out this abundant life into which he has invited us!

Last week we finished our study of Ephesians 3 by considering God’s unimaginably great power given to us to ensure that we are “filled to all the fullness of God.” What a staggering truth! Live it out, my friends: be shaped by your unique relationship to him as his beloved. For those who might have missed last Sunday’s message, you can find the outline and slides here.

This Sunday, Craig is going to draw lessons from Jesus’ encounter with blind Bartimaeus, an event that occurred just prior to Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, which we will celebrate the following Sunday, March 21. If you are unable to attend our in-person Sunday services, please tune in at 9am using this Zoom link:

The passcode is: 0404. We will also record the service each week, so you can watch the recording after it is posted later in the week, typically Tuesday or Wednesday.

This Sunday, and continuing for the next five weeks, Chico Bible Fellowship will be using the sanctuary on Sunday mornings from 10:30-12. So, we will be keeping our services to one hour, then will quickly pick up after ourselves and move out onto the lawn for fellowship, while the other church files in and gets ready for worship. Parents, if you can please pick up your kids right after the service, that will make it easy on our Kid’s Church workers. Thanks!

If you are willing to occasionally help with our adorable kids in children’s church, we would be grateful and you would be blessed! Please sign up on the calendar on our website or by using this link. No special skills are required. Our director, Lynn does all the planning and heavy lifting, so you get to just love on them.

This Saturday we honor the memory and celebrate the life of our dear sister in Christ, Ruthi Brock. All are invited to Neighborhood Church at 10am to remember her vibrant witness for Christ. Please be in prayer for Darryl as he grieves her loss and prepares for the service.

Our community group meets again next Tuesday night from 7-8pm. All are invited! We meet on Zoom for prayer, fellowship and bible study in John’s Gospel. Please note there is a new link for the Zoom meeting:

Thank you for your continued prayers for those in our body who face health issues, losses, financial difficulties and other challenges. Please remember to pray for our country as well as we continue to face such vast challenges. This Friday, we will again host a special prayer time for our nation, state and church at the church building, 12-1pm, for those of you able to come.

In His mighty love –
