Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

I hope you are able to join us this Sunday, as this week will be an extra special one at Holy Trinity, for three reasons.

First, because it is Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week. We will try to imagine what that week was like for Jesus and his disciples, explaining the significance of the key events that took place between the time Jesus arrived in the Jerusalem area to the day of his resurrection. It’s a riveting odyssey of God’s wisdom, power and grace.

Second, it is Holy Trinity’s one year birthday celebration! We’ll have cake, coffee and some drinks on the lawn following the service to celebrate God’s faithfulness to us this past year.

Third, we have a special guest who is going to give us some very exciting news. You won’t want to miss it! Parents, just a heads up: our kids will be rejoining us at 9:50, so they, too, can share in the good news first hand.

For those who are unable to attend the service, please tune in at 9am using this Zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/99123315621?pwd=SzU3VFFYenVYdy9ENUdvWGFRaU9jZz09

The passcode is: 0404. We will also record the service, so you can watch the recording after it is posted on Tuesday or Wednesday.

For those of you who missed Craig’s excellent retelling of the story of Bartimaeus last Sunday, you can access the outline and slides here.

Just a reminder that, this Sunday and continuing for the next four weeks, Chico Bible Fellowship will be using the sanctuary on Sunday mornings from 10:30-12. So, we will be keeping our services to one hour, then will quickly pick up after ourselves and move out onto the lawn for fellowship, while the other church files in and gets ready for worship.

Another reminder, if you are willing to help with our adorable kids in children’s church, we would be grateful and you would be blessed! Please sign up on the calendar on our website or by using this link. No special skills are required. Our director, Lynn does all the planning and heavy lifting, so you get to just love on them.

Thank you for your continued prayers for those in our body who face health issues, losses, financial difficulties and other challenges. Our Father hears every prayer and loves to answer them for the good of his people and the glory of his Son, Jesus.

Yours because His –

Tom
