Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

Eastertide blessings to you as we finish up this first week following our celebration of our Lord’s resurrection!

Last Sunday, Craig blessed us with an Easter meditation that helped ground us, once again, in the Gospel narrative recounting the wonder of the event. If you missed the service, you can view the recording here.

This Sunday, we will look at a portion of one of the lesser-known NT letters: the Letter of Jude, who was a step-brother of our Lord and James the Just. It will be the first of two messages focused on verse three of this letter. The text invites us to marvel at the sweeping scope of our salvation in Christ and is sure to encourage you! For those unable to attend in person, be sure to tune in to our livestream at 9am Sunday morning at the following YouTube link https://youtu.be/M9qXMspzOEY As you know, we will also record the service, so you can watch the recording after it is posted next week.

If you are looking for a bible study where you can connect relationally and grow spiritually, we’d love to have you join us on Tuesday nights as we study the book of Romans. We meet 7-8pm at the church building for prayer, fellowship and bible study.  We also have Zoom setup for those unable to meet in person. Please use the following link https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81655475348

Women, Danielle Penne will lead a 7-week video group on, “Discerning the Voice of God” using the Priscilla Shirer videos beginning April 25th. The group meets at the Penne’s house on Mondays from 6:30-8 pm. Mark your calendars, sign up in the lobby and let her know if you plan to come! The workbook is $16.99.

Men, plan to join us Wednesday night, April 27th, from 6:30-8 pm at the church building for our next men’s gathering. We’ll fellowship together and help each other become better husbands, dads and sons of God.

Has God been prompting you to pray more for our nation, state, city and His church? If so, come join us each Friday at the church building from 12-1pm. We are asking the Lord to expose evil, frustrate the plans of bad actors, raise up his church is strong, vocal faith and restore righteousness, integrity and love in our land.

Thanks so much for your continued prayers for those in our body who face health issues, losses, financial difficulties and other challenges. One of the great privileges we have is to hold each other up in prayer. Please be in prayer particularly for Emmett and Pat Jarvis (Louis’ dad [stage 4 cancer] and mom [dementia]), Phil Larios (medical issue), Tom Vervoorn (medical issue), Jackie Musselman (recovery from knee surgery), David Calkins (healing of foot), James Johnson (cancer), Kaylinn Hignell (cancer), Nola Taylor (hospice care) and Barbara Trimmer (medical issues). Please pray also for an end to the bloodshed in Ukraine. Thank you!

He is risen!

Tom
