Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

I hope you are enjoying this season of Pentecost as we are reminded of the incomparable gift, given to us by the Father and the Son, of the Holy Spirit. May he fill you with holy awe and spiritual power each day as you go about your normal activities so that others will know that you, like Jesus, are living a supernatural life because you are in constant communion with God!

Sunday, we resumed our exploration of the letter to the Ephesians by looking at the first six verses of Chapter Four. God invites us to live a life “worthy of the calling” we received when God drew us back to himself. How do we do that? We guard, at all costs, the unity he has given us in Christ! If you missed last Sunday, you can play the recording here. The outline and slides can be found here.

This Sunday, Brent will delve more deeply into our unity in Christ. If you are unable to attend the service in person, please tune in at 9am using this Zoom link:

The passcode is: 0404. We will also record the service, so you can watch the recording after it is posted the following week.

This Sunday following the service, the Bishop family will again treat us to some coffee and snacks out on the lawn. Please plan to stay a few minutes and enjoy the fellowship! It’s a great chance to make new friends and keep current on old relationships. Thanks, Bishops: we so appreciate you serving us this way!

Come and join our bible study and fellowship time on Tuesday nights from 7-8pm at the church building! It’s a great time to share, pray for each other and study God’s Word, currently John 10. We will also have Zoom setup for those unable to meet in person. Please use the following link:

If you are free on Fridays at noon, we’d love to have you join us for a time of prayer for our nation, state, city and church! Our agenda is simple: we cry out to God to expose evil, frustrate the plans of bad actors, raise up his church is strong, vocal faith and restore righteousness, integrity and love in our land. I hope you join us this Friday at the church building from 12-1pm.

Also, we would love to have your help in Kid’s Church! No special skills are needed: just a love for our kids. You can sign up by letting Lynn know or by using the calendar on our website. Here’s the link:

Thanks so much for your prayers for those in our body who face health issues, losses, financial difficulties and other challenges. Please pray especially for Louis Lee as he heals from bypass surgery and for Karen and the rest of the Foster family as they grieve Bob’s homegoing just over a week ago. God loves it when we pray for each other, and he delights in responding to those prayers.

Yours in Pentecostal joy –
