Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

Blessings to you as we continue to enjoy the legacy of Pentecost. God’s gift of his Spirit to us remains one of the greatest of his countless gifts to humanity!

Last Sunday, Brent challenged us with his message on Christian unity, which grew out of our study of Ephesians 4:1-6. God cares deeply about all of us guarding “the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” If you missed last Sunday, you can play the recording here. The outline and slides can be found here.

This Sunday, we continue our exploration of the letter to the Ephesians by looking at Chapter Four, verses seven through sixteen. This section of the letter emphasizes our diversity of gifting, describing how each of us is important to the overall health of Christ’s Church as we use our gifts to bless others. We hope you can join us! If you are unable to attend the service in person, please tune in at 9am using this Zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/99123315621?pwd=SzU3VFFYenVYdy9ENUdvWGFRaU9jZz09

The passcode is: 0404. We will also record the service, so you can watch the recording after it is posted the following week.

Please plan to stay for a few minutes after the service to enjoy some coffee, snacks and fellowship out on the lawn. It’s a great chance to make new friends and keep current on old relationships. Thanks, Bishop family: we so appreciate you serving us this way!

Come and join our bible study and fellowship time on Tuesday nights from 7-8pm at the church building! It’s a great time to share, pray for each other and study God’s Word, currently John 10. We will also have Zoom setup for those unable to meet in person. Please use the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82177078238

Also, if you are free on Fridays at noon, we’d love to have you join us for a time of prayer for our nation, state, city and church! Our agenda is simple: we cry out to God to expose evil, frustrate the plans of bad actors, raise up his church is strong, vocal faith and restore righteousness, integrity and love in our land. I hope you join us this Friday at the church building from 12-1pm.

Finally, we would love to have your help in Kid’s Church! No special skills are needed: just a love for our kids. You can sign up by letting Lynn know or by using the calendar on our website. Here’s the link.

Thanks so much for your prayers for those in our body who face health issues, losses, financial difficulties and other challenges. Please pray especially for Louis Lee (recovering from bypass surgery), James Johnson (cancer), Danielle Penner (recovery from an ankle procedure), Keri Hignell (cancer diagnosis), and for Karen Foster (the loss of Bob). Thanks so much!

Yours through the Spirit –

Tom
