Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

I hope this finds you well and delighting in the Lord.

Last Sunday, we concluded our study of Ephesians by considering Paul’s final thoughts and closing benediction in vv. 21-24. We saw that, in these final verses, Paul touched on four key themes that recur throughout the letter: peace, love, faith and grace. Paul invokes all of these over the church in Ephesus and, by extension, all believers. For those of you who missed last Sunday, you can find the sermon outline and slides here and the recording here.

This Sunday, we consider one of the most famous and content rich sermons in the New Testament, Paul’s address to the Areopagus in Athens. In it, he describes what God is like in terms that are both fascinating and faith enriching. I hope you can come. If you are unable to attend the service in person, please tune in at 9am using this Zoom link.

The passcode is: 0404. We will also record the service, so you can watch the recording after it is posted the following week.

As always, please be sure to stay for a few minutes after the service to enjoy some coffee, snacks and fellowship. Thanks, Bishop family, for making this possible for us!

If you are looking for a bible study where you can connect relationally and grow spiritually, we’d love to have you join us on Tuesday nights from 7-8pm at the church building. We pray, fellowship and study John’s Gospel. Currently, we are in John 14. We also have Zoom setup for those unable to meet in person. Please use the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82177078238

We also have a prayer group that meets on Fridays at noon to pray for our nation, state, city and church and would love for you to join us! We are asking the Lord to expose evil, frustrate the plans of bad actors, raise up his church is strong, vocal faith and restore righteousness, integrity and love in our land. Join us at the church building from 12-1pm. All are welcome.

Finally, we would love to have your help in Kid’s Church when you are able. No special skills are needed: just a love for our kids. You can sign up by letting Lynn know or by using the calendar on our website. Here’s the link.
