Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

I hope this finds you thriving in the Lord this fifteenth week of the Trinity season.

Last Sunday, we looked together at Romans 3, in which Paul summarizes the argument he has been making since the middle of chapter one: all people have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Then comes the great pivot, as he speaks of the awe-inspiring grace to be found in Jesus Christ, whose work on the cross makes our justification possible. If you missed the service, you can watch it here.

This Sunday is Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year’s celebration, and Craig is going to  lead us in a study of the important fall feasts of Israel. This will better help us to understand the sacrificial death of Jesus within its historical context. For those unable to attend in person, be sure to tune in to our livestream at 9am Sunday morning or watch the recording during the following week. Here is the link https://youtu.be/aGci5rypF3I

If you are looking for a small group bible study, I invite you to join us on Tuesday nights from 7-8 pm for sharing, prayer and a study of the Letter of James. We meet in the sanctuary at the church and would love to have you be a part. You can also attend via Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81655475348 And ladies, Danielle Penne is hosting a bible study for women taught by Beth Moore on 2 Timothy entitled “Entrusted” that started Monday, Sep 12th.
