Dear friends of Holy Trinity Chico –

Blessings to you in the Name of Jesus this sixteenth week of the Trinity season!

Last Sunday was Rosh Hashanah, the beginning of the Jewish new year. Craig used the occasion to teach us about the Day of Atonement, focusing on how Jesus’ sacrificial death and his entrance into the heavenly temple at his ascension fulfilled this highly important Old Testament ritual. Our Lord’s work—as sacrifice and high priest—opened the way for all believers to live in God’s presence forever. If you missed the service, you can watch it here.

This Sunday, I will be doing the teaching and, to be completely honest, I haven’t yet heard definitively from the Lord whether to resume our Romans series this week (Chapter 4) or to use the chapter break to address another topic. Stay tuned! For those unable to attend in person, be sure to tune in to our livestream at 9am Sunday morning or watch the recording during the following week. Here is the link

Come and join us to pray for Christ’s Church, our nation, state and city on Fridays at the church building from 12-1pm. We are asking the Lord to bring repentance and new life to his people, to expose evil, frustrate the plans of bad actors and restore righteousness, integrity and love in our land. Come join us!

If you are looking for a small group bible study, I invite you to join us on Tuesday nights from 7-8 pm for sharing, prayer and a study of the Letter of James. We meet in the sanctuary at the church and would love to have you be a part. You can also attend via Zoom at
